In the new situation of “public entrepreneurship, innovation”, innovation becomes the first power to lead the development. “Thirteen five” planning puts the basis of the development on innovation, strengthening the enterprises’ leading role of innovation. As the subject of enterprise innovation, employee innovation intention is a forecasting to stimulate the innovation behavior, employee innovation intention is particularly important for the enterprise to obtain the competitive advantage. And for those Chinese enterprises employees who have been influenced by the traditional culture for thousands of years, Zhong-yong Thinking generally exists in their work and life, and has direct or indirect influence on their innovation intention. Therefore,this paper explores the influence of Zhong-yong Thinking on employee innovation intention based on the Chinese cultural background, and introduces psychological innovation climate as a mediator, so as to provide a new research perspective for promoting employee innovation under the Chinese traditional culture background.Through combing the literatures, this paper puts forward hypotheses, constructs the corresponding research model, and carries out the empirical research with 348 employees from more than 70 enterprises. The statistics and analysis of data discovers that Zhong-yong Thinking generally exists in Chinese enterprises employees, and the levels of employee psychological innovation climate and innovation intention are both high. The analysis of variance results further show that Zhong-yong Thinking,psychological innovation climate and innovation intention exist some differences in gender, age, education, marital status, number of children, working years in current enterprise, the nature of the post, position, and the enterprise’s industry type. The correlation analysis results confirm that there have significant positive correlations between Zhong-yong Thinking, psychological innovation climate, employee innovation intention and their various dimensions. The results of regression analysis suggest that Zhong-yong Thinking have significant positive effects on employee psychological innovation climate and innovation intention. The positive effects between various dimensions are significant, except multi-thinking dimension to employee environment perception dimension, harmonious dimension to employee self-perception dimension and employee psychological innovation climate.Psychological innovation climate have a significant positive effect on employeeinnovation intention. And psychological innovation climate partially mediates the relationship between Zhong-yong Thinking and employee innovation intention.Based on the results of empirical research, this paper respectively proposes corresponding management recommendations from two perspectives of Zhong-yong Thinking and psychological innovation climate, hoping for providing references for the relevant enterprises to promote employee innovation behavior and finally form enterprises innovation performance.
