As the signing of the China-Korea Free Trade Agreement, the trade contacts between China and South Korea will be more and more, there will be a lot of mutual learning and reference on trade management in two countries.China and South Korea are all steel superpower in the world,they are in the top locations, while China is in the first place last several years,China has become a large country in steel industry,but not a powerful country.Although South Korea’s steel production is only about 1/10 of China’s,South Korea is the world’s fifth largest steel producer, the production exported is high value-added steel products.In recent years, the prices of steel products’ and raw material’s fluctuate dramatically in China.Market supply and demand is not stable, the prices of raw material of iron and steel supply chain upstream is not stable, lack of resources, high management cost, unreasonable product structure, mostly low-end products,large inventory, occupation of funds,it is our urgent demand to solve the issue about how to settle the supply chain management system more efficiently.This essay mainly analyses the supply chain management of China and South Korea from the upstream and downstream of the iron and steel company and the important link of internal supply chain of iron and steel company,Through comparison, we find the differences between China and South Korea in the steel supply chain management, and what we should learn from the experience of supply chain management in South Korean’s iron and steel company,so as to optimize the supply chain management of China’s iron and steel business. Taking the ANSTEEL Group Corporation and POSCO Corporation as an example, the supply chain management system is built by comparing the competitiveness of the two companies and the development strategic.The thesis is mainly consists of six parts.The first part, it is mainly introduced the research background, significance, research methods, research contents and innovation points and shortcomings.The second part,the paper is about the theoretical knowledge of supply chain,it is the theoretical basis of this article.The third part, it is mainly about the analysis of current situation of iron and steel business in China and South Korea,as a whole,we analyze the situation of iron and steel business between China and Korea and show the size, profit and international competitiveness of the iron and steel industry in two country.The fourth part, the focus of this article, mainly analyses the supply chain management in iron and steel business of China and South Korea from the upstream and downstream of the iron and steel business and the third party logistics service.The fifth part,Taking the ANSTEEL Group Corporation and POSCO Corporation as an example, the supply chain management system is built by comparing the competitiveness of the two enterprises and the development strategy. The sixth parts, According to the comparative research, we get enlightenment and come up with the proposal.
