An Empirical Study On The Relationship Between The Development Of Logistics Industry And Regional Economic Growth In East China

With the deepening of economic globalization and social division of labor, logistics industry has developed rapidly, and has become an important pillar industry to promote the rapid development of the national economy.Developing modem logistics industry in east China region has a favorable geographical location, good economic foundation, and superior industry support.In recent years, although the logistics industry in East China has been greatly improved, led to the development of economic growth and related industries in East China. However, compared with developed countries, there is still a large gap. Even compared with the developed areas in China, there are some differences. Therefore, to put forward the appropriate countermeasures and suggestions, according to the interaction mechanism between logistics industry and regional economic development in East China,is meaningful for the development of logistics in east Chain or regional economy.East China including Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi and Shanghai, they are the most economically active regions in northern China and the junction of the northeast, north and south China. Developing modem logistics industry in east China region has a favorable geographical location.With the rapid growth of economic level as an opportunity, the logistics industry in East China has been greatly developed.The level of logistics industry in East China is relatively high. So,East China region has a high representative, and it can highlight the core characteristics of the research problem.In this paper,the authors refer to a large number of related literature at home and abroad,and research the relationship between the development of logistics industry and economic growth in East China: First,to select 11 indicators from the three aspects of logistics supply capacity, logistics demand and the total amount of logistics. This paper construct a comprehensive index to messure the level of the logistics develop using principal component analysis.Then,this paper extend the Cobb-douglas Production Function,and Introduct logistics elements into it.Analysising the time series of the East China using Co-integration Test and State Space Model Longitudinally. Lastly,in order to study the difference of the degree between every province on the influence of the logistics industry development to economic growth, this paper analysis the panel data by building variable parameter model horizontally. This paper get some conclusions as the following:(1)There are stable balanced relationship between logistics industry development,physical capital investment, human capital investment and economic growth. Material capital plays the biggest role in the economy,followed by human capital.The developmentof logistics industry can promote economic growth,but effect is not strong.(2)This paper build State Space Model using related data of East Chain,the results show that the pulling effect of logistics industry on economic growth fluctuates within a certain range,but the overall trend is obvious.(3)The influence of logistics, physical capital and human capital on economic growth is different between different provinces of the East China. Shandong, Jiangsu and Shanghai’s impact of logistics industry in the process of economic growth is greater, and Shandong is the best.Zhejiang province and Fujian province is in the middle level.Logistics industry in Jiangxi and Anhui have minimal effect on economic growth.
