A Study Of Guyuan’s Advantage Industries Choice And Evelopment—Based On The Theory Of Comparative Advantage

The city of Guyuan is a typical less developed area in China, with high poverty rate, low level of economic and social development, and unreasonable industrial structure. Compared with other four municipalities autonomous regions, the three times total industry are relatively low; the production efficiency and the efficiency is low. At present, it isn’t form a leading regional development of leading industries, haven’t find out a real development way which can exert the comparatives advantage of Guyuan city. So, faced with the period of "much starker choice-and-graver consequence-in"poverty engines and the enormity of the task to build a well-off society in an all-round way, it must innovate the development of new thinking, exploring new path to development, implementing the development of new means, selecting a certain comparative advantage industry from weak industry, only in this way can achieve corner overtaking and pursue development,and finally achieve the growing rich goals.This study based on the comparative advantage theory in economics, using the comparison of the geography comparative method and location of commercial law, such as principal component analysis and qualitative analysis method, through the comparison on the advantages and disadvantages of Guyuan city, analysis of internal and external development environment and industry development, judgment of industry trend,from the angle of three industry chooses the most comparative advantage industry,and puts forward basic train of thought of advantage industry and path. The main draw the following conclusions:Firstly, from the perspective of the basic condition of industrial development, the main comparative advantage of Guyuan is that Guyuan has a good geographical location, good ecological environment and climate, rich tourism resource, cultural resources, labor resources, forest and grass resource, land resource and larger policy support. But, the comparative disadvantage of Guyuan includes weak economic foundation, the low level of social development, the lag of relative infrastructure construction, the lack of natural resource, especially lack of mineral and water resource. At the same time, the talent of science and technology level is still relatively backward; our country and development planning of Ningxia limit the Guyuan development. Based on the analysis of the above conditions, Guyuan has certain comparative advantage to develop low energy, low pollution, small light and labor-intensive industrial. While developing capital-intensive, technology-intensive, material oriented and energy-consuming, high pollution, high water consumption industries don’t have a comparative advantage.Secondly, through analyzing the industrial development basic condition, policy environment and the industrial development trend, the author thinks that Guyuan has a greater comparative advantage to develop potato industry, forestry industry, breeding industry, the Chinese herbal medicine industry and small coarse cereals industry in the first industry. It also has stronger comparative advantage to develop agricultural and sideline products processing industry, food manufacturing industry in the secondary industry, as well as having the most comparative advantage to develop tourism in the tertiary industry, Compared with other advantage industry, tourism has the most development potential which is expected to become the leading industry in the future.Thirdly, from the view of advantage industry development direction, agricultural advantage industries should be efforts to the direction of modern ecological agriculture, through technical input, improving quality of the labor force, developing the industrialization and scale, to achieve the rapid development of agricultural advantage industries. Industrial advantage industry should be closely rely on the good agricultural development foundation, increasing the technical innovation and equipment updating, continuously extending the industrial chain.,which are good for banding the green agricultural products and green food into a well-known Chinese and foreign.The theme of the tourism development should be ecological leisure and health resort; the key of the tourism development is to strengthen the construction of scenic spots, tourism product development, tourism marketing and tourism service facilities improvement. However, due to the tourism industry not only has strong competitiveness and development potential, but also with a strong industrial connection. Therefore, agricultural and industrial advantage industry should actively cooperate with the development of tourism, building industry chain in which the tourism is the core, so as to realize the coordinated development of advantage industries.
