The manufacturing industry of our country is at critical period of transition from production to service, from low-end to high-end of the value chain, from a big manufacturing country to a powerful country, and from made in China to created in China. Realizing creation and promoting the transformation of the mode of economic growth is the major issue needed to solve for the future of Chinese manufacturing industry. To solve these problems, cloud manufacturing is put forwarded, which combines the actual demand of Chinese manufacturing industry, and learns from the advanced achievements home and abroad manufacturing mode in front. Driven by information technology, a new manufacturing mode emerges as the times require. As an important part of a cloud manufacturing system, cloud manufacturing business process modeling directly affects the construction of the whole cloud manufacturing system, so the research on manufacturing business process modeling cloud be imperative.First, cloud manufacturing components in the platform is analysed, including a detailed description of the elements of the cloud manufacturing platform, the selection of its open source software in detail, and especially highlighting open source software in the business process layer.Secondly, according to the cloud manufacturing business process framework, the basic Petri net model of cloud manufacturing is described. And according to the software and hardware resources needed in cloud manufacturing, this chapter redefines the various resources in places and transitions of cloud manufacturing, property and equipment resources in common to construct the Petri net model of cloud manufacturing resources. A machining process is taken as an example to model the basic model of Petri net with a cloud manufacturing unit. Then the basic Petri net model is investigated, the flow diagram of operation is given, and modeling of a flexible manufacturing system using Petri net is analysed.Thirdly, the cloud manufacturing business process modeling is based on BPMN(Business Process Model and Notation) where cloud platform software and hardware resources is viewed as business process, and model and simulate it with the BPMN.Compared to other business process modeling methods, BPMN has the advantages of convenient operation, and good portability.Finally, based on BPEL(Business Process Execution Language), job shop scheduling based on Drools is described, and the optimized results are realized through BPEL. A detailedexplanation of the whole process of implementation of WEB services via BPEL is given,which includes release and interaction. At last, cloud manufacturing business process is modeled through the conversion BPMN to BPEL in a simple and rapid way.
