Small and medium-sized enterprises play a decisive role in economic and social developmentin our country. At present, the innovation in public entrepreneurship has been stepped up to the level of national strategy. As the main force of it, small and medium-sized enterprisesmeet unprecedented opportunities for development.However, they still have to tackle financing difficulties with the facts of flexural international economy and increasing downward pressure of domestic economy.To solve this problem,we continue to deepen financial reform in recent years, invigorating the guarantee industry as a bridge between small and medium-sized enterprise and banks, which provide dual opportunities both in policy and market. Unfortunately, behind this boom, the problem of failed management in guarantee company has been increasingly prominent. Plenty of illegal guarantee exposes the indifference of risk control and excessive pursuit of high benefits. Guarantee industry is high-risked, which needs stricter risk management. Internal control is the basis of risk management. Therefore, the fails in management is, in fact, the lack of internal control in the company. The immediate task for guarantee companies is to establish and improve the internal control system.This article deepens in analyzing the key risk in business process of guarantee companies, starting with the present situation and characteristics. Set XX guarantee company as an example, implement the related theory to look into its internal control defects, and put forward measures and suggestions as well, to further improve the framework of the internal control of guarantee companies in our country.
