Ticket Distribution is one of the fundamental bases of achieving maximum benefit for railway transport and adjusting or optimizing the operational plan. It is also one of the important measures to adapt to the needs of intercity passengers. Through statistical analysis of the historical data on the tickets and reasonable mathematical models for calculating the distribution scheme, we can get more optimized programs than the current. With the changes in passenger demand, it can further improve attendance and increase revenue to make appropriate adjustments to the distribution scheme based on the optimization model. This paper studies the problem of the optimal allocation of second-class tickets for the high-speed rail. The main contents are summarized as follows:The first chapter briefly describes the research background, significance and the research status of ticket allocations model for railway passengers. The second chapter introduces the relevant knowledge of dynamic programming, multi-objective programming, integer programming and Poisson random process. In chapter 3, in the conditions of passenger demand determined, through improving the known multidimensional knapsack model, we establish a optimal allocation model within the allowable range for the maximum income and the best reputation. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the model via a numerical example and give proper analysis for the numerical results. In chapter 4, changing the certainty of passenger demand and letting it varying randomly according to the known probability distribution, we establish a new optimal allocation model based on the prior model within the allowable range for the maximum income and the best reputation as well. Finally, we also demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the model via another numerical example. The fifth chapter summarizes this paper overall and points out the directions which need to be further improved and studied.
