With the popularization of GIS application, the amount of spatial data is increasing heavily. Due to the difference of application and professional background, there are great differences in spatial data, in coordinate projection mode, data format and data semantics. To achieve universal access and use of multi-source spatial data, the integration of multi-source vector data method was studied.By analyzing the difference of spatial data, this paper considers semantic differences are more difficult to solve and the related research is not deep enough, so this paper proposed a multi-source vector data integration method that considering the semantic difference. According to the schema mapping method to convert the semantics of the data, realize the extracting, loading and integration of the multi-source data. Detect and eliminate the redundant data for the result of integration data. The research work of this paper is mainly reflected in the following aspects:1) Through the analysis of the characteristics of the data, divide the schema levels of vector data and discuss the methods for every schema level. Verify the correctness of matching by the instances statistics. Generate schema mapping relationship by semantic transformation rules. Discuss the advantages of using XML to store the results of the mapping, and give an example that using XML to describe the result of mapping.2) Through the analysis of the existing data redundancy elimination, for the characteristics of spatial data, detect redundant vector data from the geometry and properties of the two party. Put forward the corresponding algorithm, and Implement the algorithm by pseudo-code. Discuss the automatic and manually treatment measures for the detected redundancy.3) Based on the above theory and method of data integration, develop a multi-source vector data semantic integration system by Using the.Net platform. Conduct an experiment to verify the proposed method in this paper by the data of Wuhan.
