Due to the increasing need of petroleum resources and the reduction of petroleum resource s with large reserves, high abundance and high value of exploitation worldwide, low permeabili ty petroleum resources of poor reservoir physical property are becoming the new focal points. Using these resources reasonably would ease the grim situation of our petroleum resources sign ificantly. Fuyu layer of Xingnan development zone is a lithologic structural reservoir of low por osity and ultra low permeability of which the reservoir lithology differs significantly, the scale o f sand body development is small and the lateral variations in thickness is remarkable.It is cons idered to have certain indication of oil and gas and oil-producing capacity basing on the analysi s of data obtained from logging and formation testing. By analyzing data obtained from logging and formation testing of drilled wells of Fuyu layer, it is concluded that the horizontal distributi on of oil and gas enriching section is complex. The production capacity of wells differs signific antly and some vertical wells are of low production capacity and economic benefits due to the missing of the main river channel sand body. Till now, there is still no reliable method of predict ing main river channel of Fuyu layer of Xingnan development zone.This paper determines the s edimentation model of Fuyu layer by studying its sedimentary environment. It determines the c omparing standards and method by layer correlation and geological system layer using the com bination of well and seismic technology. It studies the characteristics of sand body development of Fuyu layer basing on data obtained by using the combination of well and seismic technology and the method of predicting the main river channel of Fuyu layer and ultimately manages to s elect the petroleum enriched zone.
