At present, with the continuous development of economy, countries around the world not only demand for energy increased, but also focus on the development and utilization of new energy.Shale gas is a clean, efficient energy resource and chemical raw materials, and also the development and utilization of shale gas is helpful to alleviate the shortage of oil and gas resources, being increasing the supply of clean energy is the important supplement to conventional energy. Effective study shale reservoir crack propagation rule, it is helpful to the study of shale reservoir connectivity, which guides the shale gas mining, and increases production rate. In this paper, based on the literature at home and abroad research, the paper analyzes the crack extension mechanism, physical and mechanical parameters for the laboratory experiments of shale, and through RFPA2D numerical simulation software simulate the crack propagation influence factors of hydraulic fracturing, the factors which influence the main research content is as follows:(1) Collecting the sample of shale rock, take determine the mechanical parameters on shale and rock density, unidirectional tensile, shear strength and deformation of the shale. In order to provide shale simulation of hydraulic fracturing parameters;(2)By using the RFPA2D software simulate the laws of crack spreading during hydraulic fracturing, analyze the crack Angle and crack length, crack and the hole distance and the number of parameters, such as its influence on crack propagation;(3)By doing simulation on different loading conditions of horizontal confining pressure, vertical confining pressure and water injection pressure hydraulic fracturing crack propagation law.
