Optical information storage with its high transmission rate, high density, large capacity and many other advantages,is considered to be the most promising way to store information in the future.Holographic optical storage is considered to be one of the most key and prospective research projects in the current storage area due to its excellent storage performance. However, the choice of storage media, the form of holographic optical storage, and the parameters of recording light all affect the speed and efficiency of holographic optical storage, holographic grating quality and storage capacity. So the parameters metioned above are required to be controlled well so as to achieve the high efficiency and high quality of holographic optical storage. In this paper,we use two methods to optimize holographic optical storage rate based on the Ag/TiO2 nanocomposite film. The first method is optimizing storage technology.Two-photon holographic optical storage is a new way instead of the traditional single photon holographic optical storage.Holographic optical storage rate was optimized.Holographic grating growth kinetics curve, confocal microscope image of holographic grating, reconstruction hologram, absorption spectrum, all prove two-photon exposure can optimize the rate of holographic optical storage. The second method is optimizing storage material.Tannic acid reduction method was used to prepare small-sized and uniform Ag/TiO2 nanocomposite films. This kind of film as the storage medium has a stronger absorbance to enhance blue-ray holographic storage efficiency.Holographic grating growth kinetics curve, confocal microscope holographic grating image, absorption spectrum, transmission electron microscope image all proved that tannic acid reduction method can fabricate small-sized Ag/TiO2 nanocomposite films, which is more suitable for blu-ray holographic storage.
