Stability is one of the most important problems in the control system,The Lyapunov function method based on energy is more and more important in the stability analysis of power system,and the energy based on Lyapunov function is selected from the Hamilton function of the generalized Hamilton system.For the power system generalized Hamilton implementation,the sufficient conditions foe ensuring the stability of the system can be obtained by determing the Hamilton function Hessian matrix of positive definite property in the sense of LypunovIn this paper,by using the block matrix?singular value decomposition and other techniques, we obtain the sufficient conditions for the stability of generalized Hamilton system, and it is applied to the stability control of power system model.The structure of this paper is as follows:1. The background related to the subject is summarized,and the symbol ?the definition and the main work of this paper are introduced.2.In this paper, by using block matrix technique and matrix norm properties ,combined with singular value decomposition method and inequality of scaling techniques, we derived the conclusion that a sufficient condition to judge a large matrix is positive definite by determining the block diagonally dominant ma-trix.and it can judge this kind of large matrix corresponding to the generalized Hamilton system stability is a positive definite which improve the existing results. At the same time, based on the relevant conclusions of block diagonally dominan-t matrix theory,We further give a new criterion for the stability of generalized Hamilton systems.3. In this chapter,the new method to determine the stability of the gen-eralized Hamilton system of the second chapter is applier to judge the stability of multi machine power system model.Due to the practical problems which the physical meaning of the elements is different,so this chapter firstly carries on the non dimensional treatment to each element, combined with the conclusion of the last chapter chapter, we get the sufficient conditions for the stability of multi machine power systems based on the generalized Hamilton theory. Finally,in or-der to verify the new method proposed in this paper can effectively improve the efficiency and accuracy of the calculation, We give a numerical example of the stability of a three machine power system.
