The polarization phenomenon in optical system refers to the polarization of the instrument. The aberration resulted as the instrument polarization of the system is same as the wavefront aberration. They both have influence on the accuracy of the optical system to varying degrees. And in some of the optical systems, system error caused by the polarization aberration is not negligible, so the polarization aberration caused by the polarization has become a vital factor on the optical system performance. It is attracting much more attention on reducing or even eliminating the polarization aberration of the space optical system. In this way, the accuracy of optical system is improved accordingly.Based on the Fresnel formula and the Jones matrix theory, using the ray tracing method, we analyzed the impact of phase transformation function of lens on the incident completely polarized light and got the formula of the change of deflection angle and ellipticity angle on monochromatic linear polarized and elliptical polarized light through the lens. There is a positive correlation between the deflection angle of linear polarized light and the change of the incident angle. When the scope of polarization angle is between-90° and -45°, and between 45° and 90°, the deflection angle of linear polarized light is negatively correlated to the polarization angle. When the scope of polarization angle is between -45° and 45°, the deflection angle of linear polarized light is positively correlated to the polarization angle. There is a positive correlation between the variation of ellipticity angle and the incident angle. When the ellipticity angle is between -45° and 45°, the variation of ellipticity angle is positively correlated to the ellipticity angle. It is proved to be reliable and feasible by computer simulation experiment. The conclusion has certain reference value on the study of polarization aberration.
