Geographic information system(GIS) originated in the 1960 s,the Canadian geodesist-R.F.Tomlison first proposed the term, to transform the traditional paper maps into a digital form by using computer information technology means.And in 1963 established the first GIS- Canada GIS, which opens the GIS global research explore era.GIS in China starts late, preparatory stage in the 70 s and initial phases of experimentation in the 80 s, stage of development in the 90 s, industrialization stage since 1996. In our country,GIS has been used in land, urban planning, forestry, tourism, transportation, fire protection, medical and other industries and department widely.In the past,China depends mainly on buying and introducting of foreign GIS software, such as the U.S. institute of environmental system company’s(hereinafter referred to as ESRI) series software of ArcGIS, and now our country independent research and development of GIS software is widely used in the market, such as wuhan released information co., LTD., MapGIS and Beijing hypergraph SuperMap computer software company.The domestic independent research and development of GIS software can get promotion and use of a wide scale, and occupies a large part of market share. Our country independent research and development of GIS software technology already quite mature.In this paper, the main work is to use the current mainstream GIS development technology of component, set up a analysis of geographic information system of soft rock region where along the border of shanxi, shaanxi, Inner Mongolia by using c # language in Microsoft Visual Studio integrated development environment2010.This system based on ArcGIS software platform is at present relatively popular, using it as a two-dimensional GIS software platform, choice of 3D GIS software platform is the Skyline Skyline series software co., LTD.Using both COM components and development kit, finally developed a 2D GIS and 3D GIS functions concurrently as one of the integrated GIS software system of soft rock region.Finally will use part of the system function of soft rock region show related applications, mainly includes two aspects: one is to use 2d GIS analysis, processing and special function module system of soil and water loss in soft region to study the status of soil and water loss analysis;Another is to use the system has the function of three dimensional analysis, use of digital elevation model data, remote sensing image data in the study area, and some other two 3d data to build a virtual simulation scenario in the study area, and within the scenario to a series of three dimensional analysis of the study area such as water flooding, visibility analysis, path analysis, etc., and two-dimensional distribution figure in the study area has a certain linkage function, in order to achieve the linkage of two 3d effect.
