Paper selected Qinshui basin south of No.3 and No.15 of coal reservoirs collate existing data and field research, based on geological analysis, sample observation, experimentation, testing, research tools, coal measures in the study area Sedimentary environment, holes, cracks, petrological characteristics of reservoir properties, analysis and comparison of depositional environments on coal reservoir. Implement the idea of the comparative study of the No.3 and No.15 coal seam from the coal petrography, coal metamorphism, sedimentary environment and seam depth perspective of the reservoir properties difference transitivity of influencing factors of the two coal seams for CBM exploration and development some theoretical basis.Shanxi formation (P1s) as a whole for development in the above the epicontinental sea sedimentary background delta-lacustrine sedimentary system, Taiyuan formation (C3t) overall for a land table sea platform phase deposition system and barrier island deposition system of the composite deposition system and deposition environment on the coal reservoirs in the control of seam thickness, capping performance, and angry potential, is the most important factor. Delta environment formed by coal thickness, continuity, based components telocollinite and banded bright coal the micromirror coal-based bright coal cleat development, and reservoir properties better; mineral content will reduce the coal permeability. Barrier islands of the study area-a little thin epicontinental sea environment of coal thickness in the seam formed by the delta environment, continuity in general, cleat, pore development in high vitrinite content, but more mineral content of coal reservoirs permeability have a greater impact.Application of coal and coal-bed methane geology and coal petrology quantity and composition of the coal seam reservoir characteristics of the relationship between coal macerals, coal rank, coal pores and cracks in-depth study. Observations show that the samples No.3 and No.15 coal lithotypes types are semi-bright type-based. Microscopy observation, we can see that coal macerals vitrinite content, inertinite, followed by no exinite components; the highest content of clay mineral composition, followed by calcite and pyrite mine. Compared with No.3 No.15 coal vitrinite content is slightly higher, a higher content of pyrite and calcite.Industrial analysis and vitrinite reflectance rate measurement of coal samples, we can see the No.3 and the No.15 coal are high deterioration of lean coal-anthracite coal vitrinite reflectance on the No.15 was slightly higher than No.3 coal volatile production. The rate is slightly lower than the No.3 coal.In comparison with the southern Qinshui Basin Jincheng Qinshui. Shizhuang area, No.3 coal seam thickness of No.15, distribution, stability, coal reservoir properties, coal bed methane mining in the region is more favorable.
