Electric exploration is an important and effective way in geophysical exploration. At present, the method has been widely used in oil and gas exploration and mineral resources as well as hydrogeology, engineering geology, etc. In addition to the monitoring and early warning of geological disasters also play an important role. However, The disadvantage of domestic electrical prospecting instrument is less measurement channels, low precision, single function and so on. Therefore, the design of a multi-channel, high-precision, multi-function electrical prospecting instrument for the development of geological exploration industry great benefit.Based on the study of the development of electrical prospecting instrument, the basic principles of electrical prospecting, the characteristics of exploration instrument measurement, This paper present a hardware and software design of array induced polarization field acquisition system, This design is a combination of electrical prospecting method and the principle of pseudo-random correlation identification phase and it have 32 measurement channels. The system consists of a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter is used for launching inverse repeat m signals and sampling the current value. The receiver have 32 sampling channels, used for sampling the voltage value of earth which is produced by inverse repeat m signals.The transmitter consists of data sampling circuit, AVR control circuit and the host machine components. Sampling circuit mainly complete signal conditioning and sampling. AVR control circuit is used to set the sampling parameters, control the sampling and data transmission. PC software prepared by the LabVIEW software, mainly to complete the parameter setting, data processing and display.The receiver consists of data sampling circuit, FPG A control circuit and the host machine components. The function of the sampling circuit is the same as the transmitter, but its A/D conversion chip uses 7763. FPGA control circuit is used to set the sampling parameters, control the sampling and data transmission. PC software prepared by the LabVIEW software too, mainly to complete the parameter setting, data processing and display.After finishing the system design, This paper completes the testing and analysis of the hardware circuit, system performance and working conditions in the field of environmental. Finally, this paper presents the future direction of work according to the experimental results.
