In recent years,glacier in the polar have been melting more severely because of the greenhouse effect.As we known,our lives have been totally changed by the environment.In the north part of China,the frozen situation is very severe.Not only water transport been shut,but also people's lives are in danger.The author is mainly aimed at the serious problem of the ice storm in northern China,to design a real-time measurement method ice thickness and other parameters.The principle of this paper is the difference in capacitance between different media.We systematic analysis of the principles and methods of using this method of measurement.In this paper we describes the use of the specific design of the AC impedance capacitive measuring circuit.The design can be applied to real-time monitoring of ice thickness system that includes a lot of parts,there are storage circuits,communication circuits,microcontrollers,capacitive measuring circuit and so on.The system has a very obvious advantage is low cost,high accuracy.The design of the product in relation to the existing ice detection devices,only needs low cost,however it can be used for real-time monitoring of changes in ice thickness.This economical and practical method can be used to measure the ice thickness north China reservoirs,channels,river ice thickness changes were monitored and related parameters,you can place the device on polar glaciers and other places on the ice thickness sentinel surveillance give us an accurate greenhouse data.In general,this approach as opposed to before the ice thickness measurement method has greater progress,we can use this method to our northern rivers of ice disaster forecast in advance,to minimize the loss.This new system will give us the technology and theory of polar exploration and transportation which has important practical engineering value.
