To meet the requirements of optically detected magnetic resonance experiment, we have researched and designed a novel microwave structure based on the coplanar waveguide, and it has achieved both wide bandwidth and high conversion efficiency. According to theoretical analysis, we found out that microwave reflection can be re-duced with minimum characteristic impedance mutation. Guided by such theory, three types of microwave structure were designed and their rationality was verified by CST software simulation. The microwave structure was made by PCB manufacturing and micro/nanofabrication technology. After a series of tests, a bandwidth of 15 GHz and a conversion efficiency of 8 G/W1/2 at a certain point (7 ?m distance from the con-ducting track horizontally,8?m distance from top surface of the dielectric substrate verticallly) on the top surface were achieved.
