Because of the development of unreasonable water resources, and serious water pollution, the limited water availability was greatly reduced. Water shortage seriously affect the development of the economy. Most of Chinese LNG terminal is located in the coastal area. Before LNG supply to the user through the piper., LNG are usual vaporized into a room temperature gas which directly caused the waste of LNG cold energy. The combination of LNG cold energy and seawater desalination technology can solved the problem of the shortage of fresh water resources in the coastal area. The paper developed a set of sea water freezing desalination system with LNG cold energy utilization.Because the support of Marine science and technology projects in Qingdao huangdao district, the paper developed a set of water freezing desalination system with LNG cold energy utilization which mainly composed of crystallizer, rotary canister, collecting barrel, intermittent drive device, heat exchanger, electromotor and other components. I'm access to relevant paper, comparing with various freezing technology advantages and disadvantages, and select the best suitable method for the system. By the Aspen Plus simulation, the phase change process is better than no phase transition process. By simulating the main parameters such as refrigerant pressure, refrigerant flow, NG pressure and LNG flow, water flow on influence on energy value of the key equipment in the system, we analyzed influence trend of energy efficiency of the system and key equipment. And select the appropriate process parameters. According to the simulation of the process parameters and the national related design standards, the key equipment of the system were designed such as crystallizer, rotary canister, collecting barrel, and the main accessories were selected such as intermittent drive device electromotor.The system can freeze continuously and efficiently desalination, and has the advantages of simple operation, convenient maintenance, and provide a theoretical basis for solving the problem of shortage of fresh water resources in coastal areas. It has important significance and application prospect for the economic benefits of LNG industry and protecting the environment.
