Transgenic technology has been debated ever since it is applied in crops. Our country started research on genetically modified(GM)crops in the 1980s.In 2009 November, the Ministry of Agriculture approved two varieties of genetically modified rice which are named as"Huahui NO.1" and "Bt Shanyou 63".The debate around genetically modified food ecological safety and national food safety has been triggered.People from all walks of life take part in this debate. At the same time,Sina provide the "Sina microblog" service in 2009 August. This event marks microblog entered into the Chinese internet population's perspective. As a platform which can share, disseminate, access information based on users'relationship, microblog has been the new GM battlefield because of its' fast and wide spread, strong interactive. Before this study we track reports related to GM for a long time.By compared with general network public opinion,GM related network public opinion is continuous and raised by event.Since this topic is controversial, netizens take part in discussion are obviously classified into three main camps. The discussion focus on several aspects such as the genetically modified organisms' safety, stability, environmental impact. At the beginning,we download the full search result of "GM" on Sina microblog. And then,we analysis the discussion situation related to GM on microblog by using qualitative and quantitative methods. This work draws following conclusions. On microblog, negative public opinion related to GM spread extensively and lacking authoritative voice. After this,we establish individual user model of microblog based on statistic each microblog group and the features of Sina microblog. In this model we use polarity, emotional intensity, knowledge, activity and number of fans to represent every microblog user who take part in this discussion.Based on the above work,we deconstruct the evolution and dissemination process of GM information on microblog into micro level. We regard the change of users' attitude and stand-position towards GM after they received lots of GM information from Microblog as a process of persuasion. So we establish an individual attitude evolution model and an information dissemination model based on the Persuasion Theory with the discipline of individual attitude evolution and the discipline of information dissemination, and then we analyze how user activity level and knowledge attainment influence GM public sentiment. We also compare the intervention effectiveness of two kinds of disposal strategies to GM public sentiment which one is to increase the knowledge attainment of positive individuals and another is to remove those negative individuals with high impact. This research suggests that improving Netizens' knowledge about GM is good for normalizing GM network public opinion and controlling the speeches of those opinion leaders with negative attitude towards GM can't transfer the public opinion effectively, oppositely,it only would sharpen Netizens' negative emotion. The promotion of GM technology must develop transgenic technology experts'willingness to participate in social discussion, and encouraging them to express more authoritative and scientific speeches,to help people answering questions and concerns about GM.
