The constant progress and wide use of multi-beam bathymetric system bring great convenient for hydrographic surveying.From single-beam bathymetric system to multi-beam bathymetric system,the surveying precision and efficiency of hydrographic surveying get big proving.But there still are many problems in multi-beam bathymetric system,and the way of multi-beam surveying greatly increases the number of marine points per area.The wide range of measurement area leads to big marine data,which has data redundancy because of overlapping measurements and accumulation.The marine data of one surveying area in North Sea is big and multi-time,how to dilute the original marine data,delete the redundancy marine data,keep the new and useful data and build different levels marine database according to different scale is the key to solve the problem of marine data.This article compares multiple data diluting method,and proposes a diluting method of marine big data based on boundary searching,firstly gets the convex hull of the marine data collection,secondly chokes the convex hull gradually to get the boundary of point collection,and then dilutes the marine data in the boundary,keeping the newest data and the lowest data,lastly build the three-dimensional topography model.After diluting data experiments of multiple algorithms and comparing diluting ending,diluting efficiency and three-dimension models,the algorithm improves the diluting efficiency and accuracy rate,and retains characteristics of submarine topography while keeping a large number of data redundancy.In the same time,this algorithm can be used in the organization,management and maintenance of marine data.Based on the different thresholds of different scales,we can layering the marine data in different scales,to satisfy the mapping demand in different scales for marine sector and the different sailing demands.At last,the article processes the marine data of maritime department by using this algorithm,dilutes the marine data and build the marine database and the update mechanism of bathymetric data update mechanism.This algorithm provide an effective method for diluting marine data and building marine database.
