Modern society,the global positioning system is playing an increasingly important role.The progress of science and technology makes the application of navigation equipment more popular.As the longest time of development,the most mature technology system,GPS also like this.With the development of Chinese BDS,researching for the GPS can also be a promotion to the development of Chinese BDS.Firstly,this paper introduces the basic principles of GPS positioning.According to the structure of GPS signal,the paper introduces the characteristics of each part of the signal.Then the demodulation algorithm of the signal is introduced and the simulation experiment is carried out.The second half of the paper focuses on the multipath effect of GPS.For the multipath effect,this paper first introduces the causes of multipath phenomena,and then introduces the multipath effect in detail.Secondly,the current multipath suppression technique is introduced.Based on the multipath suppression algorithm,a multipath suppression algorithm based on large data is proposed.The algorithm can estimate the components of the multipath signal.Combined with large data set,the algorithm can reduce the tracking loop tracking error.Experiments show that this algorithm can improve the positioning accuracy and provide a new idea for the suppression of multipath effects.
