In the finite element calculation for some geometry with curved edges,a displacement vector method is proposed for generating an eight-node quadrilateral mesh to ensure the computational accuracy and to reduce the amount of computation,the influence of each curve edge on the corresponding points in the middle of each curve is considered with a gradual proportion.In the process of calculating the stress intensity factor in crack tip,in order to get a higher precision and avoiding producing the singular element,the mesh is divided with a variable proportion.Using this method the total amount of computation can be controlled,and the points where the displacement value can be obtained are very close to the crack tip.The results show that the numerical solutions obtained by this method are in good agreement with the analytical solutions.For a plane with multiple holes and cracks,there is no an effective reference solution,so it is of practical significance to obtain some more accurate numerical results by means of this method.From modeling,numerical calculation to the structure deformation and stress cloud image rendering of the post processing,a kind of mode of the interface display and background operation is used by a research and development program.Combining the advantages of the visualization interface in VB language and the high efficient computing capability in Fortran language.In terms of pre-processing,the shortcoming of the traditional manual input data is over come,a series of functions is realized such as automatic division of the plane quadrilateral mesh,automatic numbering,and the automatic input and output data.A series of general functions of the finite element software is implemented in the post process,including the deformation map of the structure,and the stress cloud being generated automatically.
