Oyu Tolgoi copper deposit and Duobaoshan copper deposit are both island arc porphyry copper deposits in the Central Asian metallogenic domain.Oyu Tolgoi copper deposit is one of the largest porphyry copper-gold deposits in the world and is very important in the Belt and Road.Duobaoshan copper deposit is an important porphyry deposit in China with abundant mineral resources.Predecessors have a certain basis for research on these two deposits but comparison between the two deposits is not enough.In this thesis,comparison work is carried out based on a large number of collected data which has been collated and analyzed,relevant field work and experiment tests.This thesis has a preliminary summary of characteristics of island arc porphyry copper in the Central Asian metallogenic domain,and the extension direction of Oyu Tolgoi-Tsagaan Suvarga metallogenic belt is also discussed.The genesis model and prospecting model are established in the two deposits,further prospecting suggestions are proposed for the two deposits,and the mineralization prospecting area is divided in Oyu Tolgoi.The results show that the ore-bearing rocks in the island arc porphyry copper deposits in the Central Asian metallogenic domain are mainly neutral-acidic with high potassium and alkaline.The REE is characterized by LREE enrichment and HREE slight loss,these rocks have a relative enrichment of Rb,Ba,Hf and other elements,and a relative loss of Ta,Nb and Ti.Ore-forming materials have the mantle-source characteristics.The island arc porphyry copper deposits have the typical alteration of porphyry copper deposits and are closely related to quartz sericinization.In the metallogenic system,the island arc porphyry copper deposit can form a mineralization system alone,and may also form a metallogenic system on the area with the epithermal deposit.In addition,the island arc porphyry copper deposits in the Central Asian metallogenic domain are main belong to Paleozoic,the mineralization age of each deposit has a certain time span.Duobaoshan deposit is the result of subduction of Paleo-Asian Ocean in Ordovician,the metallogenic age is early Paleozoic and it is formed on Kipchak arc.Oyu Tolgoi deposit is the result of subduction of oceanic crust in Devonian,themetallogenic age is late Paleozoic and it is formed on Kazakh-Mongol arc.The two deposits are not formed in the same tectonic event or on the same metallogenic belt,Oyu Tolgoi-Tsagaan Suvarga metallogenic belt ranges westward.Furthermore,on the base of collection of data and comparative study,five mineralization prospects are divided in Oyu Tolgoi: North Heruga area,Javkhlant area,West Hugo shallow area,West Hugo deep area and North Ulaan Khud area.It is recommended to strengthen the work of finding epithermal deposit in Oyu Tolgoi and to strengthen the work at deep mine in Duobaoshan.
