Chemical weathering process of rare earth element geochemistry behavior research has been the important subject in the study of human science development,caused the widespread concern of scholars in country and abroad,especially since the 1960 s,research on rare earth element behavior is relatively wide,with marked Nesbitt and Duddy's pioneering work,and some scholars in country and abroad for rare earth elements in the weathering process whether there has been quite a lot dispute,nearly 30 years,rare earth elements in the weathering process do activity has been confirmed by larger studies(Ma Yingjun etc.,2004).In addition,the research of rare earth element geochemical behavior analysis,climate change is source of the tectonic setting,sedimentary environment change of good tracer,and has the extremely important indicating significance(fan,etc.,2001;Tong Sheng Qi etc.,2006).In summary,the human behavior of rare earth elements geochemistry research laid the groundwork for the future study of chemical weathering,has an important prospective.This paper in the southern Songliao Basin,near Harmar village the from Qingshankou Formation outcropped of the second and third sections of red mudstone as the research object,carried out in order to rebuild mudstone provenance characteristics and sedimentary environment for the purpose of research,in order to explore the future element geochemical behavior of Songliao Basinhas a certain reference significance.In conclusion,through the combination of petrological and geochemical methods,conducive to X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescence spectrum technology,constant elements and rare earth in the mudstone samples,trace element characteristics are studied,and the chemical classification of red mudstone in the studied area,weathering,provenance parent rock type and the ancient climate are discussed in this paper,the data analysis results show that:(1)mudstone of rare earth elements(? REE)total is higher(104.99 × 10-6),? LREE/HREE ratio is bigger(6.50~9.96),REE distribution patterns show enrichment of light rare earth elements and heavy rare earth elements loss,Eu(0.88~1.16)negative anomaly characteristics;(2)the main mineral composition of clay mineral in mudstone and silicate minerals,followed by carbonate minerals(3)according to the discriminant function(F1 and F2)and its related graphic,La/Sc-Co/Th diagram and La/Yb-?REE diagram to determine,provenance in the parent rock types are mainly sedimentary rocks and basic volcanic rocks.Combined with the CIA(59.94~71.34)value and ICV(1.2~ 2.1),the CIA values corrected provenance mudstone is low,suggested provenance underwent weak weathering,Sr/Cu(1.93~41.01)index,Ti values(0.18~0.64,0.51),P values(0.07~0.23,0.13)show that the provenance controlled by type dry climate for a long time.
