Scientific research drilling is the most direct, most effective and reliable way to get all kinds of geological information in the earth's interior. As the main borehole, SK-2 east borehole is used no-directional coring technology. Academician Xu Zhiqin once pointed out that the accuracy of core data will largely affect the accuracy of scientific research. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the spatial orientation of the deep and directional cores in scientific research, and provide accurate depth and orientation information for high precision scientific research.Based on the collection of SK 2 east borehole imaging logging data and core scan data, core spatial position restoring is carried out by using imaging-core scanning picture processing software. Core spatial position restoring of third measuring intervals of the SK-2 east borehole is completed and the restoring results are rated. The results show that with the increase of depth, the depth error of core correction increases, which is consistent with the actual rules. In accordance with the classification statistic of core spatial position restoring quality, the number of quality rating above AA and AB is more than half, which suggest that the way of core spatial position restoring is applicable in SK-2 east borehole.The paper analyzed the influence of different layers of rock quality and found that the depth localization of sand,conglomerate and igneous intervals is mostly accurate and the effectiveness of restoring in mudstone and argillaceous siltstone intervals is better. Through summary of the main lithology, bedding, cracks and other geological features, the thesis classificate of 4 typical characteristics of core spatial position restoring, which facilitate geologic analysis and scientific research.Finally, the paper analyzes the tectonic evolution history of the Xujiaweizi fault zone in the Songliao Basin and layer parameter, using seismic display technology on SK-2 east borehole surroundings structure interpretation. The results show that the tectonic evolution of the area is divided into two phases: the phase of fault depression stage and depression. The formation of the nosing structure is affected by regional compression, which the formation angle is about 14° and tend to be west, southwest.During the depression period, the geological transformation is weak, which leads to the formation of low dip strata.
