Wogu copper-molybdenum deposit Xinbin county of Liaoning province is located in central region of eastern Liaoning and southern Jilin metallogenic belt,and Fushun-Xinbin Neoarchaean,Mesozoic iron,gold and copper metallogenic belt,which display abundant mineral resources.Based on the previous data,the author employed the method of field geological survey,mineral geological survey,geophysical survey and geochemical survey to summe up the deposit comprehensive information prospecting model and predict xintun area's mineralization of mining area periphery.The study of deposit geology shows that wogu copper-molybdenum deposit is controlled by granodiorite pluton which is clamped by the regional nearly east-west trending faults,north-west trending faults and ore-controlling structure is composed of several groups of nearly east-west faults in the periphery contact zone.Mining area is divided into five mineralization alteration zones from north to south which are classified into I,II,III,IV,V,and has been found 12 ore bodies.Output of the ore body mainly present lenticular,lenticular and vein and the wall rocks are granodiorite.The main metallic minerals are molybdenite,pyrite;secondary metallic minerals are chalcopyrite,magnetite,pyrrhotite and so on.In the space,the zoning regularity of the wall rock alteration which is the strong silicified belt?silicification,potassic belt?silicification,the pyrite mineralization belt?chloritization,epidotization from inside to outside is obvious.Analysis shows that the deposit that is a strongly controlled by the faults is porphyry molybdenum deposit related to acidic porphyritic complex rock mass.Builded comprehensive information prospecting symbol shows that a series of near EW trending faults are formed as a result of east trending fault structural activities and north-west trending fault structural activities in this zone.In the late Yanshanian,granodiorite rock tube invade under the control of the fault structure,the hydrotherm containing molybdenum rised up;wall rocks occur strong silicification and potassic alteration,resulting in the deposition of molybdenum when the vein rocks are in place.At the same time,the high magnetic negative anomaly area of the geophysical survey?<-200 nT?,apparent polarizability high value anomaly zone?>10%?,apparent resistivity low value anomaly zone?<600 ?m?,as well as stream sediments survey and soil survey delineated comprehensive anomaly,especially,copper,molybdenum with obvious concentration center and composition zoning are important signs for ore prospecting.Mining area periphery prospecting information shows that there are the Neoarchean,Cambrian strata and granite porphyry,quartz monzonite,orthophyre neutral-acid intrusive rocks in Xintun area.The area that has a little structure and abundant alteration types is similar to wogu copper-molybdenum deposit metallogenic geological condition.The high magnetic survey shows that the structure of this area is north-east trending and north-west trending structures,and the negative anomaly area is reflected by granite porphyry,quartz monzonite,and there is a good gradient zone in the margin.The survey of soil shows that there are Cu,Mo,Au association anomaly,high strength anomaly,element fitting well,obvious concentration center,it is an important copper-molybdenum-gold polymetallic prospecting area.The study of Metallogenic prognosis shows that a total of 5 prospected targets are delineated in xintun area.ZKBQ-2,ZKBQ-4 are A-grade prospecting target area,ZKBQ-1,ZKBQ-3 and ZHBQ-5 are B-grade prospected target area through optimization of target area and A-grade prospecting target area is proceed through trenching engineering verification.ZKBQ-2 controls a copper-silver mineralized body and a gold polymetallic mineralized body,and the highest grade of Au,Ag,Cu,Pb reaches 0.77×10-6,40.0×10-6,0.37×10-2,0.53×10-2 respectively.ZKBQ-4 controls a gold-copper polymetallic mineralized body,and the highest grade of Au,Ag,Cu,Pb,Zn reaches 213×10-6,406×10-6,0.58×10-2,26.33×10-2,0.41×10-2 respectively.The average grade of Au,Pb reaches 71.9×10-6,9.13×10-2 respectively.
