The analysis of gamma spectrum is a important step in neutron activation analysis.The statistical fluctuation and background influence the analytical precision.Therefore,effectively reducing the statistical fluctuations and deducting the background can improve the accuracy of spectrum analysis.Detecting energy spectrums with different methods have a great impact on the spectrums,using appropriate detection technology is conducive to getting useful activation energy spectrum.Because of the development of fast electronics,multichannel analyzer and multi-parameter analysis system,the application of electronic computer in nuclear experiment,Coincidence measurement has become an indispensable experimental method to realize multi-parameter measurement.There is a time-dependent correlation between the gamma rays produced by the radionuclide decay and provide an important prerequisite for the realization of the measurement.The work of this paper is using the measurement technology to select the neutron activation energy spectrum.Firstly,using thermal neutron activate materials to produce radionuclides,and then using the detector detect the energy spectrum.This work include:(1)The characteristic gamma rays generated by the decay nuclide were recorded using the Geant4 software.The energy and intensity of characteristic rays are compared with the NNDC and PGAA databases.(2)The neutron activation energy spectrum was detected by Na I(Tl)detector,and the neutron activation energy spectrum was processed by Fourier transform.(3)The neutron activation energy spectrum was selected by ?-? single-peak cascade,and the cascaded ray was selected by a single characteristic peak to achieve the simplified energy spectrum.(4)Combining the energy of the cascaded ray as the gate signal to select the characteristic peak to achieve the purpose of removing the background.Coincidence measurement technology can be very good to simplify the spectrum,reduce the statistical fluctuations and the impact of the background count,is conducive to improving the accuracy of neutron activation energy spectrum analysis.
