Design as an innovative behavior itself comprises huge cognition activities.How to capture and analyze the cognition process has important meaning on promoting design ability.Therefore,conducting the research on design cognition to parse the complex design connotation and explore the abstract thinking pattern has vital academic value and application value.To address the complex cognitive problems,such as the undefined design problems,the uncertain design relations and the divisive design structures,a complex Linkograph-Network model which is a new way to deconstruct the intrinsic features of design cognition is proposed to realize the multiple explicit handling of the two dimensions,the cognitive process and cognitive content,based on the cognitive model theories and visualization theories.And the model's construction synthesizes two expression methods.One is the sequence linkograph used to classify the concept nodes of the design process,distinguish the developing relations among design nodes,and express the design reasoning process structurally.The other is the semantic network generated in the concept-knowledge mapping,which is used to characterize and analyze the deep cognition information.Based on this model,the link complexity,depth,convergence,path evolution,semantic content,topic information,network effects and network dynamic development are expressed quantitatively through the model's analysis methods of the description,extraction and visualization of design cognition features,which provide a theoretical basis for the research of design cognition visualization.The feasibility and validity of the linkogaph-network model are verified by the visual analysis of the experimental data of the charging pile design.And the data are processed with the help of the cognitive model and the cognitive features are extracted and quantitatively analyzed by the visualization way.Through the characteristic process analysis,the creative and turning concepts are captured and the development level and way of design process is analyzed.Correspondingly the importance of the subject concepts and their refined process are explored through the characteristic content analysis.At the same time,the concept hierarchy relation are combed by the horizontal and vertical reasoning to achieve comprehensive analysis.Then the visual prototype system of design cognition analysis is designed and built to enhance the analytical efficiency and the automatic level based on the computer technologies.Finally the software visualization interactivity of design cognition features is realized by the visual interface design,the function construction of cognitive applications,the information architecture optimization and the building development platform.
