In Arabidopsis, there is a total of 10 members among GSK3-like kinase, which play an important role in plant growth and stress response.Although GSK3 family proteins have high homology in sequence, their function has some redundancy and specificity. In this paper,we observed and confirmed that AtSK11,AtSK12 and AtSK13 were widely expressed at the transcriptional level, which were different from other members, especially were distributed in the root apex.Their protein also located in the cell membrane, cytoplasm or nucleus of the root apical meristem cells.AtSK12 was accumulated during the 20-minute process of being infused in water.Furthermore,we found that double mutant of AtSK11 and AtSK12 which is atsk11atsk12 had a different sensitivity compared with the wild type(Col-0)under different water potential conditions simulated by the use of polyethylene glycol(PEG8000).It can be confirmed that AtSK11 and AtSK12 both participate in the process of Arabidopsis root response to different water potentials and osmotic stress. We analyzed the transcriptome of Col-0 and atsk11atsk12 under three different water potential conditions. We can make a conclusion that AtSK11 and AtSK12 co-affect the differential expression genes that are in response to osmotic stress at different water potentials. At the same time,we find that AtSK11 and AtSK12 affected some genes related to root development to realize the response process to different water potentials at the transcriptional level.
