As the digital earth and smart city rolled out of the concept of geographic information based on virtual earth 3d visualization of booming development,especially the network technology in recent years,WebGL and HTML5 technology was born,makes the network 3d visualization plays an increasingly important role.Visual analysis of meteorological data can help climate scientists to study climate change,to forecast the weather changes.For ordinary users,intuitive weather information visualization can help them to understand weather conditions,make effective decisions.Existing software weather visualization software to a certain extent,solve the problem that the part of the meteorological data visualization,however,no one can provide a complete solution,when faced with mass,high resolution and heterogeneous meteorological data,the lack of effective means.And hard to based data integration with other image and terrain of superposition.So on the basis of existing research,this paper summarizes the analysis of the current mainstream on the market of the network 3d visualization platform development present situation,advantages and disadvantages of each platform,for HTML5 and WebGL technology in 3d graphics rendering and client plug-in free visualization technology is studied,for different data types,data structure,meteorological data are discussed,and according to the characteristics of data visualization problems under the network environment are studied deeply.Based on WebGL developed three-dimensional meteorological information system,realize the free browser plug-in B/S architecture visualization platform.From data acquisition,data preprocessing,data access strategy to the client data rendering,scheduling,and other aspects to improve,establish a series of scheduling strategy so as to realize the time dimension after meteorological data and dynamic visualization,implementation,and other such as remote sensing image and terrain overlay display geographic information data and is realized in this platform,such as spatial query of GIS spatial analysis function.
