SPS composite steel plate which possesses superiority of high stiffness and strength to weight ratio is regarded as an excellent substitution of single steel sheet and reinforced concrete and such sandwich constructions have been widely used in various engineering construction, such as aerospace, ship industry and bridge construction etc. SPS composite steel plate consists of two panels outside and core inside, that are cemented by glue. It is precisely because of this structural characteristic, the interfacial debonding is likely to occur in the process of manufacturing and service. Reduce the structural strength and lead to premature instability or disruptionThis paper will investigate the static mechanical property of SPS composite steel plate with initial debonding by using finite element software Abaqus. Forecast the critical buckling load of structure and compare the result of the structure without debonding. And then investigate the influence of debonding flaw on the carrying capacity of structure,so that the engineers would determine whether the structure needs repair or replace. The details as follow:1. Estimate the critical buckling load SPS composite steel plate by experimental method and do the same thing with Abaqus. That could testify the accuracy of FEM in similar research.2. Under lateral compression loading ,investigate the critical buckling load and the limit loading of SPS composite steel plate with initial debonding by using finite element software Abaqus and panel local buckling has been found in process.3. Under lateral compression loading, investigate the critical buckling load and the limit loading of SPS composite steel plate with initial debonding by using finite element software Abaqus...
