According to national and industry's standards of China's remote sensing geological profession,the article chooses the NIIRS(U.S.National Imagery In Classification system)as the reference,based on the nested hierarchy of the remote sensing data on the commercial market,and establishes a multi-level remote sensing geological interpretation system,which is applicable at low,middle,high resolution of remote sensing data,in accordance with the relevant standards of the regional geological survey in China.The system is not only of great significance to promote the application of remote sensing technology in terms of geology and mineral resources,but also compensates for the lack of the application of high spatial resolution data to a certain extent,as well as deepens the study of future high-resolution image in the application of geology and mineral resources.With the discussion of the different levels of remote sensing geological interpretation system,the article mainly obtains the following three aspects of the achievements:(1)With the analysis of the need of the different mapping scale of remote sensing image spatial resolution,the corresponding relationship among spatial resolution,image show scale resolution and mapping scale resolution is established.(2)The different levels of remote sensing geological interpretation system is established on the three levels of 1:250 000,1:50 000 and better than 1:10 000.The establishment of the structural frame and the division of the lithology and stratigraphy units is focused on the 1:250 000 scale.The analysis of the performance of micro-tectonic framework,the decomposition of different lithology and stratigraphy units and the lithology-structural phenomena.On the scale of better than 1:10 000,the aim of prospecting application services is done with the extraction of the ore-controlling structures,ore lithology,dyke information.etc.(3)For example,Pishan County,in Hetian City of West Kunlun,the multi-level remote sensing geological interpretation system obtained the good application effect in geological mapping,prospecting minerals and the other aspects.The study area was divided into five geological parts and several lithology and stratigraphy units,based on the remote sensing geological interpretation of ASTER image.With the combination of ASTER data and WorldView-2 data,the deep investigation were made on the faults,joints,folds and the other structural phenomena in the study area with the detailed remote sensing geological interpretation,which is under the macro controlling on the 1:50 000 scale.And then the article finished the detail analysis of the variation rules of the bedding,altitude and lithologic association of the sedimentary rocks,the rhythmically interbedded image features and the lithologic association of the metamorphic rocks,and the intrusive contact relationships and variable lithologic characteristics of the volcanic rocks.On the basis of that,the article drew a detailed 1:50 000 Structure-Lithology remote sensing interpretation map.After that,the comprehensive analysis combined with the materials of the regional geology and Hetian jade deposit mode,and after the establishment of remote sensing prospecting model of Hetian jade,the extraction of ore-controlling factors of a Hetian jade deposit(or the mineralization point)was done.In addition,on better than 1:10 000 scale,the newly discovered quartz veins and the mafic dyke swarms in the study area,provided new evidence for the tectonic evolution of the area.
