| Since the twenty-first Century, virtual reality technology has been widely used, including military, medical, educational, architectural and entertainment fields, and has a great impact on people’s lives and development. Visualization of 3D scene is an important application of virtual reality technology, which has broad application prospects in the field of Surveying and mapping. It is also one of the basic technologies for the development of digital city and 3D map.The traditional 3D visualization development is based on the bottom of the library openGL and Direct3D, after years of research, the technology has been very mature. However, in the process of development, people gradually found that there are inevitable defects:Function realization need to programme more code, secondary development of software difficultly, hard to achieve complex scenes, the expression of level details is not prominent, etc. However, the contemporary people have a higher requirement on the visualization technology, which is the direction of the refinement, the reproduction of the real scene, and the wide range of the 3D scene. There have been some open source, easy to secondary development, cross-platform graphics engine technology .Which greatly reduces the difficulty of 3D scene visualization development and improves the efficiency.In this paper, according to the requirements of modern 3D scene visualization, we focused on the OGRE graphics rendering engine, used 3Dmax modeling software for the medium, designed and programmed 3D scene visualization method based on OGRE, navigation and management of the whole 3D scene, the main contents include the following aspects:1.The basic theory of three-dimensional scene was described,mainly elements and the mechanism of visualization from the three-dimensional scene;2. We studied the architecture of the OGRE 3D graphics engine and analyzed the data structures * .mesh files supported by OGRE and their techniques in graphics rendering and texture mapping;3. We built 3D scenes and developed 3D visualization based on OGRE to complete the management of 3D scene, roaming, rendering and other functions. And combining with an example, we showed the effect of the virtual scene model and the UAV real model.According to the discussion of this paper, we has designed and implemented 3D scene visualization based on OGRE 3D engine, which not only has a good effect in the 3D virtual scene, but also supporting UAV, 3D laser scanning and other new technologies to establish the real three-dimensional scene. |
