Geological Characteristics And Genesis Of Bauxite Deposit Of Pingzhai In Dangfang,Guizhou

Guizhou is one of the most abundant mineral resources in C hina.At the same time,bauxite is one of the dominant minerals in Guizhou Province,It is rich in resources,good in ore quality,widely distributed and large in scale.The exploration work began in 1940 s.After more than 70 years of exploration and comprehensive research work,as of December 2014,a total of about 12.9 tons of resources,ranking the country's top second(Liu Youping,et al.,2016).However,restricted by environmental factors;technical factors,low development of bauxite mining;external factors such as poor geographical conditions,Guizhou area for bauxite mining in the superficial strata area or open area,and the mined bauxite is also the grade of ore body,which belongs to the study of its local area and relatively scattered.However,with the development of modern economy is increasing demand for aluminum resource consumption,the demand for mineral resources has also become more and more important,the new bauxite resources have become very urgent,at the same time,it also brings great impetus for the exploration and exploitation of bauxite resources.The study area of bauxite Pingzhai,near to Xifeng,Xiuwen etc.bauxite deposits,with regional geological features similar to those of bauxite deposits and similar geological conditions of bauxite deposit.Nevertheless,the region is close to each other,but for the exploration of mineral resources in the area is very limited,the degree is not enough,the investigation of bauxite is far less than the adjacent area of bauxite.Through the geological survey in Pingzhai area,within the author in the Pingzhai area of regional geological survey,the occurrence of the ore body were investigated in the work of regional geological investigation and on the detailed investigation,the regional geological background as the premise,reveal the geological background of ore,identify the relevant features of bauxite ore,and the adjacent area that has been the exploitation of bauxite or comparison,horizontal comparison bauxite required for the formation of the geological background characteristics and ore forming conditions,constraints,enlightenment but also by the previous development of aluminum mineral exploration research,cause of formation of the bauxite resources of Pingzhai area are discussed,expectations of the aluminum mineral resources in the study area the future exploration and development work to provide reference.The study area is located in the Pingzhai domein three counties of Guizhou province in the northwest of Dafang County,Jinsha County,Q ianxi county at the junction of the area belong to the Southern China plate,located in the margin of Pingzhai domein Central Guizhou Uplift Area,near the northern depression area,is a generous Q ianxi northeast weak deformation block.Most of the dome structures in the middle uplift region of Guizhou Province are composed of two parts,the basement and the cover,and the tectonic movement in the area is characterized by multi cycle and multi phases.In this area,not only the dome structure is extremely developed,but also the mineral resources are abundant,the predecessors have carried out a lot of basic geological research on this area.However,the study of bauxite in this area is rare.Through investigation to understand: the main bauxite ore body occurs in Permian Liangshan formation in Pingzhai dome is the main structure of the ore body,the orebody is layered in ore rock bottom,ore mineral composition with diaspore and chemical composition are mainly A12O3,SiO2,TiO2 etc.the ore structure mainly consists of lenticular,oolitic,micrite,crystal structure,and the structural characteristics of the ore is dense massive structure and semi earthy structure and massive structure,the natural state of the ore is semi earthy,oolitic bauxite,bauxite and other dense.The ore body is a sedimentary type of ore body,after the weathering of the parent rock,a series of physical and chemical processes will enrich the aluminum deposits after the late deposition,metamorphism and finally enrichment.The ore body is controlled by many factors,such as paleoclimate,paleogeography,tectonic evolution and stratigraphic characteristics.Through the study found that the bauxite ore body basically conforms to the quality requirements of ore grade hard refractory clay,the thickness is greater than the thickness of mining;shortage is that CaO is slightly higher,the general requirements of more than 0.8%,only can be used as ordinary refractory clay resources.
