Study On Geoheritage Evaluation And Coordinatiing Development Between Geoheritage Protection And Utilization In Yanqing Geopark

Geoheritage is a kind of special geological resources formed by internal and external geological processes.It is real evidence for studying the Earth's history with important scientific value.The geopark construction is an effective way to protect geoheritage resources and eco-environment.The geopark construction and development can not only protect the geoheritage resources with its territory,but also can promote the local socioeconomic benefits.Based on the considerations above,The Ministry of Land and Resources and the local governments have actively participated in the geopark application and construction.At present,geoheritage protection and geopark construction is in a rapid development stage in China,a lot of achievements related to the geopark research and practical operation have been obtained.However,during this process,there are still many problems,the key one is how to maintain a balance between geoheritage protection and development.Yanqing Geopark is located in the northwest area of Beijing,characterized by numerous geoheritage sites and abundant resources.Taking Yanqing Geopark as an example,this paper summarizes the geopark construction theory and practical experience both in China and other countries,on the basis of the geoheritage investigation and study,this paper analyzes the geoheritage types,distribution and their origins,carries out qualitative and quantitative assessment on the geoheritage resources.The results show that Yanqing geopark owns various geoheritage types,with a perfect combination between geoheritage and cultural resources,and high values in esthestics,scientific study and cultural relics.At the same time,the geopark has a good geographic position,with a sound developing potential.However,the present problems are the geopark value has not been brought into a full play,and the geopark management system still needs to be improved.Based on the geoheritage resources assessment,combined with analysis on tourist marketing sources,geotourism situation and regional economic and social statue,this paper analyzes and proposes out the contradictions and reasons between the Yanqing Geopark construction and economic and social development.On the basis of the analysis of the results above,this paper puts forward a scientific mode for coordinating development between the geoheritage protection and utilization in Yanqing Geopark,this fills up a blank on this aspect,it also provides decision-making basis on geoheritage protection and utilization for the geopark decision-makers.
