The laser altimeter with single photon detection technology has many advantages,such as micro pulse,high frequency,multi-beam,small footprint,high efficiency,light weight and its like,becoming the future development trend of active earth observation laser altimeter.At present,in foreign countries,the research of single photon detection technology has achieved initial success.While in domestic,the research is stillonly focusing on the hardware equipment development,the study of single photon laser altimetry technology is completely empty,and further data processing and application has just started,so far,domestic researchers' study on single photon laser altimeter's data processing and application is few with no significant result.Thus,this paper carried out the research of single photon laser altimeter data processing technology,which has great value in research and application.By conducting a lot of research,starting from the study of current international most advanced single photon laser altimeter satellite ICESat-2's operating principle,work target,the parameters of the ATLAS altimeter,single photon data products,this paper judged the single photon laser height measurement technology as the development direction of future earth observation field.In view of single photon laser Altimeter data processing technology,the paper summarized the foreign data processing algorithms based on Multiple Altimeter Beam Experimental Lidar collected data by NASA,and analyzed the key technologies of single photon data processing.In this paper,on the basis of MABEL data,the denoising and classification methods on single photon laser altimeter data processing and its data processing were designed,then experiments verifing the method feasibility was carried out,and finally some suggestions of our country studing on the single photon laser altimeter were gave.The concrete research content is as follows:(1)On single photon laser altimetry technique and single photon laser altimeter data processing technology research in domestic and overseas,the paper carried out a mass of investigation and research,introduced the working principle,working target,the ATLAS altimeter technical parameters and single photon data product of the single photon laser altimeter satellite ICESat-2,and summarized the application field of single photon data,mainly introduced foreign single photon laser altimeter data processing technology.(2)On the basis of reading extensive literatures,this paper mainly studied about the basic principle of single photon laser altimetry,photon counting ranging theory,and deduced the single photon detection's ideal probability equation,described the least squares curve fitting principle,and compared the classical point cloud filtering algorithm and their advantages and disadvantages.(3)After introducing the Multiple Altimeter Beam Experimental Lidar and analyzing the data storage form and data characteristics of MABEL,according to the data characteristics of the single photon,using the theory of classical data processing algorithm,the paper designed the denoising and classification method based on MABEL single photon laser altimeter data and single photon laser altimeter data processing.(4)The paper selected experimental area,on the basis of MABEL data,carried out the denoising and classification experiment of single photon laser altimeter data processing,analyzed the precision and error of experiment results,and verified the feasibility of denoising and classification algorithm by using the method of simulation.
