Commercial mining of Burmese amber has a history of over 2,000 years. The age of the amber deposits generally considered to a maximum age of 98.79 ± 0.62 Ma,which is equivalent to the Upper Cretaceous(earliest Cenomanian).Among the worlds' seven major deposits of Cretaceous amber,Burmese amber is famous by the long history, very high quality preservation, the most diverse palaeobiota and output, and preserves. However, because of historical reasons, the scientific value of Burmese amber until nearly one hundred years was gradually discovered.Based on the particularity of the formation and the diversity of the inclusions of the Burma amber,it has become one of the hot spots in the field of paleontology.Coleoptera is a group of relatively ancient, high biodiversity and ecologically significance. Therefore, studying of Coleoptera in Burmese has profound significance for us to understand the phylogeny,palaeobiogeography,paleo-ethology,ancient behavior of the important biological groups in the Cretaceous period. So far,Burma amber has been named Coleoptera 64 species, covering 4 suborders,14 superfamilies,23 families. In this study,Coleoptera representative group in 25 pieces of Burmese amber was studyed. The traditional method of studying amber is to observe directly under the microscope. With the development of science and technology, the new technology is used to study the amber. The Burmese amber inclusions were conducted by using micro computer tomography, computer three dimensional reconstruction.I reconstructed the three-dimensional morphology of the beetles in Myanmar,so as to determine the systematic position of these beetles and explore their biological significance. The study showed that the 25 pieces of Burmese amber beetles belong to 2 suborders,7 superfamilies. The phoresy, visiting flowers, cluster behavior was found in Burmese amber.More importantly, there is not always good relationship between visible light imaging and X-ray imaging of amber inclusions in the course of the experiment, even no contrast completely under X ray.A preliminary analysis of this phenomenon is also made. The reason for this phenomenon may be related to the difference in the contrast between the surroundings of amber, the density of amber and the chemical substances in the amber.
