Atmospheric pressure glow discharge(APGD)receives much attention in recent years,in terms of atmospheric pressure pulsed glow discharge,atmospheric pressure radio frequency(rf)glow discharge,and atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge(DBD).Recently,with the introduction of pulse-modulation in atmospheric rf glow discharges,the discharge characteristics can be manipulated It is furtherly proposed here that in pulse-modulation rf APGD temporally separates the discharge into repetitive discharge bursts,between repetitive rf discharge bursts,the high voltage pulses are introduced to ignite sub-microsecond pulsed discharge.They find that it can solve this problem in this way.In this thesis the discharge parameters of atmospheric pressure pulse glow discharge are changed to study their influence on the discharge characteristics and mechanism of atmospheric pressure radio frequency(rf)glow discharge burst.Firstly,the optical and electrical properties of the pulse-modulation rf APGD compare with that of the pulse-modulation rf APGD with introduced pulsed discharge.It can be find that the introduced pulsed discharge assists the ignition of rf discharge burst and reduces the ignition voltage and the maintain voltage of rf discharge burst.The time interval between the pulsed discharge and rf discharge bursts,the discharge current of atmospheric pressure pulsed glow discharge will be manipulated to study their influence on rf discharge burst systematically.In the case of the time intervals of 2?s,5?s,8?s and the pulsed discharge currents of 0.86 A,1.22 A,2.24 A,the discharge ignition time,ignition voltage and maintain voltage are studied.It is found that the ignition time,the ignition voltage and the maintain voltage of rf discharge burst reduces with the decrease of time interval between pulsed discharge and rf discharge bursts when the intensify of the atmospheric pressure pulse glow discharge is kept at 1.22 A.On the other hand,by keeping the time interval between pulsed discharge and rf discharge bursts at 5?s,the ignition time,the ignition voltage and the maintain voltage of rf discharge burst will be decreased with the increase of the discharge current of atmospheric pressure pulse glow discharge with the pulsed discharge current below 2.24 A.When the discharge current is higher than 2.24 A,the ignition time of rf discharge burst will be increased with the increase of the discharge current of atmospheric pressure pulse glow discharge.
