For tight gas reservoir,the biggest problem is how to get the oil & gas in the thin and dense formation.It's necessary for unconventional reservoir to use hydraulic fracture on stress calculation.Further more,the accurate calculation of slowness is the key of stress calculation.Though different sound source and measurement mode,the tool got the formation information in the form of wave field.Fracture evaluation based on array sonic data processing provides a reliable way on tight gas industrial production.This paper has started in slowness computing using array acoustic logging data at time and frequency domain.The key methods were STC and spectrum weighted correlation method.Using the compressional and shear wave slowness,stress calculation?sidewall stability analysis and fracturing performance evaluation has been researched on tight sandstone formation of Ordos Basin.At last,the new evaluation process was used in tight gas reservoir.Some content includes:1.A detailed study on the theory of slowness computing has been done,which provides theoretical analysis basis.2.On the basis of rock mechanics experiments?formation test and field miniature fracturing test data,the paper has finished the stress modeling of tight gas reservoirs,and implemented situ-stress evaluation.3.On summary of the reasons for and the type of instability on the sidewall,the paper has selected a valid criterion of rock fracture?analysed the sidewall rock stress distribution?predicted fracture pressure and collapse pressure and gave the security range of mud density.4.The fracturing performance of tight gas reservoirs was evaluated in terms of brittleness index and fracture toughness.To overcome the shortcoming of brittleness index during hydraulic fracturing,a fracturing performance index integrating brittleness and fracture toughness was designed using linear elastic fracture mechanics.
