Material defects and plastic deformation of the mechanical significant impact on the properties of materials,the theory of configurational volume force research the motion of heterogeneous or quasi-heterogeneous on materials space,which will be described material defects in terms of energy,so that the theory has a strong universality,and therefore received widespread attention.This paper discusses the physical meaning of the configuration volume force;based on configuration volume force to express heterogeneity characteristics of material;gives blur parameters of material based on the configuration volume force;and a tensile test of defected elastoplastical plane.Details are as follows:(1)Dicuss the physical meaning of configuration volume force on elastic,ideal elastic-plastic and elastic-plastic material.(2)The distribution of configurational volume force(CVF)in defected elastoplastical plane is studied in this paper.The average CVF on each element is calculated based on the results of FEM analyses.Three kinds of defects are considered,those are elastoplastical plane with center crack,center void and double voids under uniaxial tensile stress.The distributions of CVFs are illustrated and the influences of defects and plasticity on CVF are analyzed.The results show that(1)CVF is a sensitive measurement to inhomogeneity of material,(2)plastic deformation reduces the concentration of energy dissipation and(3)the interaction between defects and plastic deformation and the interaction between defects make the high-energy-dissipation zone deviates from the high-stress-concentration zone.(3)Configuration volume force is used to describe the process of material deterioration,we describe material deterioration which caused by the evolution of the heterogeneous system in elastic-plastic material from the perspective of irreversible energy dissipation.Blur parameters(H)of material based on the configuration volume force of elastic-plastic material is presented in this paper and we also discuss application of blur parameters under uniaxial tensile of LY-12 aluminum alloy plate which contain defects(cracks,holes and double holes).(4)We make an evaluation of configuration volume force of material degradation and fracture assessment based on the tensile test of defected plate.And the experimental results are mostly consistent with the finite element numerical simulation,which explain that configuration volume force can be applied to predict and assess degradation and fracture of the material.
