Development of atmospheric pressure microwave plasma device will utilize microwave electric field and waveguides which are designed specially.This device produces plasmas under atmospheric pressure.At present,there are a lot of technologies to produce plasmas,including thermal ionization,gas discharge,radioactive isotope,laser irradiation and microwave excitation,etc.Comparatively,microwave discharge technology has many advantages.For example,high energy conversion efficiency,no electrode pollution,no vacuum requirements and its product output is continuous.Therefore,the atmospheric pressure microwave plasma technology has been more and more popular in the scientific research institutions and modern industrial market.It has good industrial value and business prospects.However,it is necessary to further study the existing microwave plasma device in the aspects of waveguide structure,microwave power,energy coupling efficiency and the change law of microwave electric field.The purpose of this paper is to design a complete set of atmospheric pressure microwave plasma generator which is in compliance with safety standards.On the basis of the stable plasma jet,the experimental factors that affect the stability of the microwave plasma are further explored.This paper will explore the treatment of bacteria by microwave plasma jet,so that the bacteria remain active and get the mutation.In this paper,a set of microwave devices is designed by studying the mechanism of plasma generation.It generates plasmas at atmospheric pressure.The device has five major systems: power supply system,microwave transmission system,tuning control system,nozzle system and gas supply system.In the design process of the structure,the simulation software HFSS is used to simulate and optimize the design of the waveguide and the nozzle.In this paper,the experiment of atmospheric pressure microwave plasma is carried out under different conditions.And the factors that affect the plasma excitation in atmospheric pressure are investigated on the basis of optimization design.The characteristics of the plasma are rich in free electrons and the neutral gas of charged particles,which are rich in different kinds of active particles.Preliminary study on the treatment of bacteria by plasma will be done.
