Wave is the most common fluctuation phenomenon in the process of ocean movement,to measurement and analysis the wave motion parameters is the basic work of the study of marine environmental elements study.The measurement of the wave characteristic parameters is of great importantance to the development of marine resources as well as the construction of marine transportation industry.In order to acquire the parameters such as wave hight and frequency in realtime.DSP,FPGA and MEMS inertial sensors as well as wireless transmission technology are choosen to design a real-time monitoring system which can monitor the wave characteristic parameters.The main works in this article are listed as follows:(1)The overall structural design of the marine environmental monitoring system.It includes the 3D structure design of the measuring platform,the material selection of measuring platform manufacture,the 3D structure design of the wave motion parameters measurement system,the design of capsule to protect the signal processing unit,and the power supply system of the platform.Finally,a stable and reliable measuring platform is completed with its segments manufacturing.(2)The hardware design of the wave motion parameters measuring system.It includes the physical structure design of the measuring system,the selection of the inertial sensors,the design of dual-core CPU and the interface circuit,and finally finished the welding and debugging missions of the circuit.(3)Complete the software design of the measurement system.Finish the signal collection and the bottom hardware driver,such as AD7606 and some interface,in FPGA device.The bootloader of DSP and the interface programs between DSP and FPGA are also finished in this paper.(4)An efficient algorithm is designed for the monitoring system.Firstly,the real-time Euler angle calculation of the measuring platform,and the transformation of acceleration information from inertial coordinate system to local level coordinate system.Then,design a special adaptive filter to pre-filter the acquired acceleration information.At last,the real-time wave parameters are obtained by double integrating the acceleration information.(5)Finish the verification experiments of the monitoring system.We examine both the structure and the algorithm of the monitoring system by a 6 degree-of-freedom swing platform and the real marine environment,respectively.Experimental results demonstrate thatthe designed measuring platform presents benign performance,and it could implement accurate measuring of wave motion parameters in a constraint area.
