The Beishan Rift Zone in Xinjiang is an important copper, gold, nickel and iron metallogenic belt in China. Many years of geological prospecting work not only discovered the Hongshijing Gold Mine,Bayiquan Gold Mine, and Pobei Copper in the Beishan region.Gold deposits such as nickel ore and copper-nickel ore deposits, but also industrial iron deposits such as Banshan Iron Mine,Haihai Iron Mine and Hongshishan Iron Mine were found. However, the predecessors had more research on gold ore and copper-nickel ore,and relatively little attention was paid to iron ore.The Baidiwa area is located in the west section of the Beishan rift belt. The Baidi-Suihehe fault zone is distributed in the area. The remote sensing images show that the fault zone is characterized by ductile deformation and strong tectonic activity.Through the analysis of existing data,it is found that The iron ore deposits in the Baidiyi area are almost all distributed along the fault zone, indicating that the ore-forming environment in the area is relatively good and the prospecting potential is large. On the one hand, remote sensing technology can not only quickly obtain the spectral information of ground features, but also has the characteristics of macroscopicity and limited access to information, and is widely used in geological prospecting work in difficult and dangerous areas. In this study,by using the spectral information of remote sensing data, the ASTER data with higher spectral resolution and the domestically produced satellite data GF-2 with higher spatial resolution were used to carry out information extraction and geological interpretation of iron dyeing and alteration anomalies in the Baidiyi area..The main results of this paper are as follows:1.Based on previous studies, this paper collates and analyzes the ore-bearing horizon,formation/controlling ore structure, and distribution rules of iron ore sites in the Baidiwa area, and learns that the iron ore sites in the study area are affected by It is controlled by the Suihe River fault zone. The ore-bearing stratum is a Carboniferous stratum.2.Using ASTER remote sensing data, applying principal component analysis(PCA)and band-ratio method(RM)extraction techniques to extract iron anomaly information extracted from Baidiyi area, and comparing the extraction results of the two methods to screen out iron Dyeing abnormally well-arranged areas.3.Apply domestic high-resolution remote sensing data GF-2 to carry out remote geological interpretation of key areas.Interpretation results include ore-dominating faults,Carboniferous strata and intrusive rock masses.Based on the analysis of iron ore geological data in the study area, combined with the results of iron-stained alteration anomaly information extraction and high-resolution remote sensing interpretation, three favorable areas for remote sensing ore prospecting have been delineated and a remote sensing ore prospecting for iron ore in the Baidiwa area has been established.model.4.In the field verification work, field sample collection, analysis and testing were carried out,and the magnetite quartzite in the favorable prospecting area No.2 was subjected to thin section and chemical analysis, and the primary ore category in No.2 favorable area was initially determined as magnetite. With pyrite, the average total iron content is 25.14%.The fieldwork successfully verified the prospecting area, proved the accuracy of the indoor information extraction, and finally delineated the No.1 prospecting area as a remote sensing ore prospecting area, pointing the direction for future mineral exploration work.
