With the development and utilization of the ocean,the need for the exploration of the oceans is growing.Faced with all kinds of problems of conventional oceanographic observation equipment.An unmanned ocean observation platform is born——Wave glider.In order to overcome the adverse effects of energy and marine environment,the wave glider can be used in the ocean environment in a large scale,low cost and long term.Wave glider as a new ocean observation platform,the domestic and foreign research on submersible hydrofoil tandem hydrodynamic analysis and motion control of the main wave glider.In this paper,the floating body of the wave glider is taken as the object of study,and the resistance of the floating body in waves,the motion of the floating body and the motion of the floating body and the submerged body are studied.Firstly,according to the three-dimensional geometric model of the floating body of the wave glider,the resistance of the floating body with different shape,different draft and floating body with or without appendages is calculated.With the RANS equation and the SIMPLE algorithm is based on the volume of fluid;function method(VOF method)as the processing method of the free surface;the motion of the floating body in waves using the overlapping grid technique;using SST turbulence model,the computational domain grid and boundary conditions setting complete floating bodies in wave resistance calculation set.Through the comparison of different motion of floating body in waves of resistance by different shapes floating body,different water floating body and a floating body and wave resistance relationship attachment,draw a qualitative conclusion of floating bodies in wave resistance in wave added resistance as the main component.Secondly,according to the general equations of motion of the floating body with six degrees of freedom movement and the floating body in waves in a floating body in waves heaving and pitching motion mathematical model;simulation calculation of floating body in value by using STAR-CCM+ software DFBI.The different time of floating body under the heave and pitch value value,calculated the shape of a floating body,different draught of the floating body and the floating body with no attachment at different wavelengths of the heave amplitude,heave velocity,heave acceleration.Compared with the buoyancy ofthe floating body,the influence of floating bodies with different shapes,different draft bodies and floating bodies with or without appendages are obtained.Finally,the author analyzes the stress in the wave motion process of the floating body and a submerged body combined with the case,establish the geometric constraints between the submerged and floating body in waves in heave motion response,through AWQA and STAR-CCM+ calculation,the wave glider heave motion in a floating body grade two,grade three,sea conditions in the drag reduction and the increase of floating body heave amplitude(from increasing power up the boost in terms of sinking amplitude)to provide reference data for the next generation of wave glider design and test.
