In seismology, earthquake prediction and exploitation have already been the concentration of so many scholars among the field of seismology, which is of great significance for people's life and property security, resource exploration and penetrating to the underground structures.Numerical simulation of ground motion is one of the most important methods for solving the problem above mentioned in this field, meanwhile it plays a vital and crucial role in the development of seismology.Finite element method and finite differential method are being widely used in the field of seismic numerical simulation, however, taking account of the fact that the complicated factual terrain and diverse geological parameters and various structures into consideration. In this paper, under the prerequisite of comparing the advantages of two methods and the precondition of putting into use,via establishment of a transition zone and the area of the finite element solution is given the initial value, which be able to combine the two methods suitably. And when encounter the different problems, different media regions alternate to use different calculation methods for using the advantages of different methods sufficiently to simulate the large-scale earthquakes of actual terrain and parameters. The contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the Taylor formula method, the finite differential equation with fourth-phase accuracy is deduced, and the initial value-boundary condition is used to compose the elastic difference finite-difference equations.Starting from the basic equation of elastic fluctuation, the system of solving the elastic finite element method is obtained by using the displacement function.(2)The finite element-finite differential forward simulation process is executed by combining the finite differential and finite element method after establishing the transitional zone,in order to has the ability to simulate different geological structures.(3)The finite element-finite difference simulation is carried out by using the finite element-finite difference forward modeling process, and the finite element-finite difference simulation is put into use to analyze the seismic wave propagation under different conditions.
