Research On The Theory And Methods Of The Design And Development Of Marine Geopolitical Environment Atlas

As the fight for marine strategic position and resources becomes increasingly fierce,especially with the implementation of China's strategies including the strategy of building China into a maritime power and the “One Belt,One Road”,the sea issue has risen to the strategic level of national development and policy making;and marine geopolitical environment atlas,which is a medium showing marine geopolitical research achievements and comprehensively reflecting marine situation,and also a formal tool assisting marine strategic decision-making,has become an important tool for the decision department to analyze and solve marine problems,and make marine decisions.Therefore,its design and development has become one of the research hotspots in the field of cartography.Faced with the continuously growing demands,it has been an important mission for the cartography field and related business department to deepen the theory,technology and method of marine geopolitical environment atlas development and improve the quality and efficiency of its design and production for the purpose of making it serve the theoretical research and strategic decision-making better.This dissertation researches the theory and methods of design and development of marine geopolitical environment atlas,which mainly contains:(1)It analyses and summarizes the relevant study status of marine geopolitical environment atlas from the two aspects of marine politics and marine thematic atlas,holding the idea that nowadays there is a comparative shortage of the development experience of marine geopolitical environment atlas,and the design efficiency is low with a high level of manual participation,demanding urgently some breakthrough in its development theory and technology.For this situation,this dissertation proposes the research train of thought for the design and development of marine geopolitical environment atlas facing automation.(2)It discusses the basic theory for the design and making of marine geopolitical environment atlas.First of all,it summarizes the concept and characteristics of marine geopolitical environment atlas,and presents the design principles of marine geopolitical environment atlas.Besides,it elaborates the idea of “making of marine geopolitical environment atlas facing automation”,and discusses and analyses the characteristics and difficulties of it.Finally,it presents the theoretical framework of the design and development of marine geopolitical environment atlas from the purpose of the making of the atlas facing automation.(3)It proposes a construction method for the content system of marine geopolitical environment atlas based on Formal Concept Analysis(FCA).To begin with,it elaborates the concept and characteristics of the content system of marine geopolitical environment atlas,and analyses the key problems of its construction.Then,on the basis of that,it designs a method for the content system construction of the atlas based on FCA,which has effectively weaken the problem of strong subjectivity and low efficiency existing nowadays in the process of content system construction by exploring and modeling the relations among marine geopolitical element concepts.Finally,it explains and teats the above method combining an example.(4)It puts forward a structured expression method of marine geopolitical environment atlas.Firstly,it analyses the structure of marine geopolitical environment atlas,and describes the corresponding analytical result based on framework.Secondly,it presents a generating method for marine geopolitical environment atlas facing automation,which concentrates on the generating algorithm of marine geopolitical environment atlas based on the discussion about the template matching of marine geopolitical environment atlas expressing.Thirdly,it tests the above method with the help of two groups of experiments from the generation of single maps and a map group.(5)It takes the World Marine Geopolitical Environment Atlas as an example to design and practice.To begin with,it expounds the design significance of the World Marine Geopolitical Environment Atlas.Then,on the basis of the above theory and methods,it realizes the design and making of the atlas facing automation,whose results illustrates that the theory and methods in this dissertation have certain science and feasibility.
