With the development of science and technology,the demand of display product is growing for consumers.The traditional LED backlight is increasingly difficult to satisfy the consumers in the pursuit of colorful visual effects because of the color gamut bottlenecks.In this paper,the blue LD flat-panel display backlight is put forward in order to solve this problem.The backlight fully combines the characteristics of liquid crystal display and laser display and it not only fully reflects the high color gamut of laser display,but also make up for the deficiency of the cast before laser display system on the basis of meeting consumer demand for light display product.The systemic research of backlight will be the basis of laser flat-panel display backlight for further research.First of all,the blue light using in the backlight design was determined based on the analysis of human visual physiological basis and color vision.It should be the LD light source and the wavelength should be around 450 nm.The choice of the light source will greatly weaken the harm of blue light from a certain angle.At the same time,the color gamut coverage of blue LD backlight design was calculated using the uniform color space on the basis of the standard colorimetric system,and it can achieve 146% NTSC based on the having fluorescent powder in this paper.Theoretically,the blue LD backlight is a flat-panel display backlight with the advantages of health and safety,higher color gamut in this article.Secondly,this paper presents the theory model of blue LD flat-panel display backlight.And this theory model based on blue LD,the structure of side type backlight and the relevant technology of laser stimulating phosphor.A design of light guide module that lighting is consistent,horizontal uniform distribution of each part and vertical uniform distribution in all parts was gotten through simulation analysis,and the network designing was optimized on this base to get a lighting uniform light guide plate.It shows that the backlight evenness can reach 90.14%,and marginal average can reach 102.75% in theory through testing.At the same time,this article also analyzed the stability of blue LD backlight,and designed the cooling structure according to the result of analysis.It can guarantee the backlight normal and stable work.Theoretically,the blue LD backlight is a flat-panel display backlight that has higher light evenness and good stability in this paper.Lastly,It calculated the backlight evenness was 86.30%,and marginal average can reach 102.05% in actual through illumination testing of the developed blue LD backlight.It concluded that the heat dissipation part can completely meet the backlight work stably for a long time through testing the actual cooling of the blue LD backlight assembled cooling part.It can be obtained that the blue LD backlight is a flat-panel display backlight that has higher light evenness and good stability from the experiment in this paper.
