This dissertation is based on shale gas reservoir in Mississippi of west Canada.Because the exploration of shale reservoir is still in its infancy of exploration,it is necessary to learn more about the nature of the region's low porosity and permeability reservoir in detail, and to determine the shale gas porosity, the total organic content, the adsorbed gas content, the free gas content, mineral group classification of reservoir parameters, thus to carry out evaluation of shale gas reservoir is of great significance for the guidance of shale gas exploration. In the text, the geological characteristics and physical characteristics of shale gas reservoirs are summarized in detail by processing logging data and core data alignment.A method of using synthetic logging response to identify shale reservoirs is established. We calculated shale reservoir porosity by sensitive curve,we calculate shale absorbed gas content by using linear regression method,Langmuir analytical method.method of sensitive curve optimization, was used to calculate the content of mineral composition.the relationship between total organic carbon content and density log,the nexus of TOC and natural gamma ray spectrum logging, logging evaluation method to evaluate TOC.During this research of evaluation and interpretation shale gas reservoir in Duvernay,The key parameters of shale gas reservoir, such as porosity, total organic carbon content, gas content and mineral composition. It provides logical proofs for shale gas exploration and development.
