Research On VSP Wave Field Separation Method

VSP(Vertical Seismic Profile)technology is an extension of prospecting technology,also a kind of specialized seismic exploration technology.Many experts have put much attention on VSP technology in the world.VSP exploration technology has brought a lot of useful underground information around the well.In order to better use this information,we have to do a good job on VSP imaging.One of the key procedures in VSP imaging is wave field separation.This dissertation introduces the basic principle of VSP technology and its development.Two VSP forward modeling methods,model based ray tracing method and model based wave equation forward modeling method are introduced in this paper.Layered model is adopted to testify these methods.Besides,this paper introduces the knowledge including polarization curve analysis,hodogram and polarization angle.Moreover,median filtering method,F-K domain filtering method,polarization analysis method,and inversion method based on VSP wave field separation are introduced as well.We realize and testify the polarity analysis method and inversion method with synthetic and real data.Finally,this paper summarizes the advantages and the disadvantages of these four methods.Some recommendations are given for further study.
